Residential Care Home For Autistic Spectrum Disorder

History

Directors Mary and Penelope O┬┤Sullivan created Crediton Care & Support Homes Limited in 1989 starting with 4 homes located in and around Crediton providing care for the learning disability and challenging behaviour.

Creedy Court was purchased from receivership in 1999 which enabled the company to centralise the provision of care, provide a day service operation in one location on larger premises.

The building of Creedy Court was formally a nursing home for the elderly and prior to being incorporated into healthcare was the former saw mill for Shobrooke Park. Creedy Court was opened as a residential care home in March 2000.

Burridge Farm was previously an Alpaca Farm and was purchased by Crediton Care & Support Homes Limited in 2013. We were registered with the Care Quality Commission and opened as a residential care home in January 2014.

At the start of 2016 an old barn was demolished on the site of Burridge Farm we started work on a bespoke residential care home, works were completed and we opened Kite House in May 2017.

The Registered Manager James Moore has been employed by Crediton Care & Support Homes Limited since 1995 and since his employment has gained relevant qualifications and has been promoted up through the years. In 2002 he became the Registered Manager, completing Leadership and Management qualification in 2010.

We are proud of our staff team. Some of them have been with us for many years and have a wealth of experience in the care field. Each member of staff has been chosen because of their dedication to help support others and their personal integrity. We are committed to staff development and use both in-house training sources and specialist out of house training sources to ensure that the members of staff have relevant skills and information needed to support our service users to the best way that they are able.
