Facilities And Services
Care home in Crediton for Autism
Facilities
On site is an extensive day service centre where our residents can use the facilities such as pottery, and utilise qualified therapists in art, drama and music therapy. Also popular with the service users are the weekly sessions with the aromatherapists and flower arranging. We arrange regular trips out into the community and surrounding countryside where the service users enjoy interacting with the public and also taking part in horticulture activities at the Grannies Meadow which is local.
Services
We have specialist support from experts off-site, such as psychologists, doctors and nursing staff, care managers and advocates, as well as POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) and favourable reports from CSCI (Commission for Social Care Inspection).
Training Flat
At our off-site training flat we can provide everyday training for our service users to teach independent living skills, such as cooking, budgeting, also everyday basic skills such as shopping and menu planning etc. It is available to all our service users, including service users that require more support than others can utilise the flat to have free time to relax by watching TV or spending some time in the day care room enjoying activities such as art, music etc. It will teach our more independent service users the skills that they need in life to move onto supported living, the training flat gives service users the opportunity to learn these skills before moving on whilst having the home comfort of residential care.
